About Team

Individual autonomy, choice, and control promotion are the central theme of this post. We take immense pride in our exceptional Adult Supported Living residences, which offer exceptional care for individuals facing learning challenges. The comprehensive Induction Training Program provided by Surrey is incorporated into your rota. All new employees will receive comprehensive assistance in completing the induction program, mandatory courses, and additional training to foster their personal growth. On an annual basis, you will be subject to staff supervision and evaluations.

About Role

Night Care Assistants perform all aspects of nighttime care, such as:

  • Providing assistance to people with personal care
  • Routine assessments of individuals in accordance with their care plans
  • Implementing security inspections of the structure
  • Advocates for the liberties and autonomy of individuals
  • Notifying the duty officer of any substantial personnel changes
  • As directed, perform domestic duties (including cleaning, laundry, and rudimentary food preparation).
  • Appropriately providing beverages and refreshments for individuals throughout the night

While experience is not an absolute requirement, it is vital to adopt a positive attitude when assisting adults as you would like to be assisted.

    To help residents get ready and get into bed or settle down for the night.
    To provide a high standard of care overnight, including hygiene, continence, mobility, dressing, and general care.
    To carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the person in charge and record.

    The meaning is in the name, but just to clarify, waking caregivers are awake throughout the night and remain alert to the needs of your loved one at all times, whereas a sleeping caregiver simply provides a presence should your loved one need support or assistance.
