Within our department, your duties will include the following:

  • participating in all scrub and circulation procedures and techniques.
  • Working as a competent member of the perioperative team and evaluating the care provided to patients in the operating room and other areas where operative or invasive procedures are performed.

  • Assuming responsibility for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient management of allocated resources within scrub and circulating areas, as well as assisting in the planning of daily team member allocations,
  • Being responsible for the care and maintenance of all instrumentation, apparatus, and consumables within your area of responsibility. This responsibility encompasses all aspects of the cleansing and circulating service and includes informing the appropriate individual of any stock or equipment needs.
  • Participating in the ordering and training of new equipment and implementing corrective measures for defective equipment per Trust policy Ensure that the department is always clean, organized, and stocked with sufficient supplies and equipment that are properly cleansed, in good working order, and stored correctly.
