Position Summary:

Professionals in direct support assist and care for individuals in their residences and throughout the community. Direct Support Professionals, under the guidance of the Location Supervisor, are tasked with the following responsibilities: delivering high-quality care to the individuals we assist, ensuring the cleanliness and security of their homes, and maintaining precise records.   • Education equivalent to Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment or Canadian Grade 10 is mandatory.
  • Required is a Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license, either full or intermediate.
  • Internet-capable smart devices are necessary for communication.
  • Proficient in both written and interpersonal communication.
  • The effectiveness and capability to operate effectively in a team setting have been demonstrated.
  • A certificate in health care assisting, disability, community support, or another pertinent field would be considered a valuable qualification.
  • A solid understanding of intellectual disabilities is advantageous.

Schedule:

  • A minimum of two sessions per month are required.
  • There are overnight, weekend, and evening positions available.

Salary: $18.40 to $20.00 per hour (depending on education and industry experience).
