  • Prepare and strategize with foster parents or caregivers in anticipation of the child’s repatriation.
  • Serve as a liaison and consultant with FNCFS and other community agencies, as needed, regarding decisions about children and service delivery for caregivers; and

To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold one of the following credentials: a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university, as recognized by the SASW/CASW or CASWE; a Human Service Degree* accompanied by pertinent practical experience; or a Social Work Certificate accompanied by pertinent practical experience. All international education must be evaluated for accreditation to be recognized as equivalent in Canada.

  • Human service degrees consist of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing or a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and/or Psychology, Education, Human Justice, or Indigenous Studies, in addition to pertinent professional experience.
  • A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is an essential requirement for all applicants, as the successful candidate will be expected to travel, operate a vehicle, and transport children (or parents) during service delivery. Additionally, the schedule may require flexibility to accommodate evenings and weekends.

Retention Payment
