We refer to our Home Care Workers as “Support Workers” at Uniting. You will be responsible for providing companionship and care for senior citizens residing in their own residences in the DEE WHY and MANLY regions in order to enhance their quality of life and promote their independence. You will be required to use your own vehicle to travel to the residences and communities of clients.

The caregiving duties that you perform may encompass:

• Providing assistance with household chores and meal preparation
• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing
• Providing transportation for the benefit of clients’ health and well-being, including accompanying them to Uniting Healthy Living for Seniors programs and appointments.

Who we’re looking for

• You will have community or aged care experience, or a strong desire to commence a career in the field.
• You will be resourceful and empathetic, as well as capable of embodying Uniting’s daily values of compassion, respect, originality, and courage.
• Additionally, you must be adaptable and willing to assist in accommodating the evolving schedules and requirements of our home care clients.
• Provisional or complete Australian driver’s licenses and continuous access to a dependable vehicle that is fully insured (not just CTP) are required.
