The individual in this role is responsible for supporting the healthcare practitioner by delivering personal healthcare services and aiding with activities of daily living to the patient, as specified in a written assignment and essential for meeting the objectives of the patient care plan.

Qualifications of Home Health Aide Jobs

What will you need?

• Kansas Home Health Certification (16 hours of supervised practical training under the supervision of a certified registered nurse)
• BCLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Driver’s License in VALUE
• Present Auto Insurance
• 1 to 2 years of experience pertinent to the position

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience working in an institutional setting as a nurse’s aide.
• Training must be completed for a minimum of ninety hours, sixteen of which must be supervised practical training by a certified RN.
• Accomplishment of a home health aide competency evaluation with success.
• Excellent listening abilities and the capacity to embrace the patient’s desires.
• Capacity to operate autonomously, solve problems, establish priorities, and render decisions about the duties of a home health aide.
