The Registered Care Aide delivers care for residents in adherence to the organization’s established vision and values, as well as regional and facility policies and procedures, by adhering to a resident-centered care philosophy.

In addition to resident care responsibilities pertaining to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs, the registered care assistant executes nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration as a member of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the manager or designate. With a total of 117 bedrooms, Dunrovin Park Lodge is a complex care facility. A special care unit, hospice, complex care, and respite are all located within the facility. Twenty beds comprise Maple House, which is a secured facility with one respite bed designated for residents in need of increased supervision. Three hospice palliative care beds and three respite beds comprise the Hospice Care Unit.

Volunteers are assigned to accompany residents to social events and medical appointments, in addition to offering support during hospice activities. Haircutting and barbering services are available on-site for a fee as set forth by the particular service provider. Additionally, four days per week, Dunrovin operates an on-site integrated community adult day program.
