Your duties as part of the role may include, but are not restricted to the following:
- As assigned by the Team Manager, Theater Lead, or Band 7, assume overall responsibility for the supervision, safe coordination, and efficient management of the ward or clinical area throughout each shift.
- Be in charge of providing clinical competence in all areas of patient care in the appropriate clinical environment on a shift-by-shift basis. Acknowledge and react to emergencies and critical circumstances correctly.
- Capacity to help with endoscopic procedures and comprehend, use, and take part in scope cleaning, including site-specific “track and trace” technologies.
- Arrange the surgical activities for the day, taking into account patient care and equipment.
Qualifications/experience
You’ll have the following qualifications/experience:
- A minimum of three years’ worth of paid experience as a registered nurse in a theater setting
- Comply with the NMC Professional Registration requirements and be informed about contemporary nursing practices.
