Responsibilities of Senior Care Assistant Jobs

• Advocating for the personal growth of care staff,
• Assessments of caregiver spot inspections and medication competency
• Conducting assessments of new service users and formulating individualized care plans
• Reviews by service users
• Assisting the care coordinators as needed
• Medication auditing
• As needed, perform on-call duties (including additional compensation).
• Volunteering on alternate weekends within the community

This position devotes 37.5 hours per week to both administrative and care responsibilities. The monthly salary consists of ten days of on-call work.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle is required.
• Prior experience in the healthcare or home care industry is required.
• A Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2 or higher (or its equivalent) is preferred but not required; however, you must be willing to pursue additional training and credentials.
